Kantipur's Social Responsibility Operations:

  • Solar heated water is provided to guests.
  • The hotel does not use any plastic bags and has adopted a green purchasing policy by using local materials in the construction and operations of its sites, as well as as use of locally produced goods.
  • The hotel has given employment opportunities to the locals only.
  • The hotel's use of traditional architecture has given incentive for the craftsmen to continue craftsmanship brought down from generations.
  • Towels and bed sheets are not changed too frequently unless asked by guest during their visit
  • The staffs are highly aware of the importance of heritage and environment and volunteer on clean up activities organized by the company.
  • The hotel manage its own waste.

Customers Environmental Do and Don'ts

  • The hotel does not provide guests with plastic mineral water bottles, but instead mineral water is offered to you through our small mineral tanks in glasses.
  • Please try and carry or your own bottles which will be filled up by the hotel and avoid buying mineral water from outside.
  • Use plastic bags is not recommended, as it cannot be recycled. For shopping, the hotel provides guests with cloth shopping bags which is to be returned to the hotel or can be purchased.
